When i set the texture in the lights to alfa, i can still see the glow function.

thats the normal light feature though isn't it? that would be a diferent effect than the Windlight glow effect EDIT:: Also, since WIndlight is not fully released yet, I would assume that there is no function yet incorporated into LSL for the glow feature..however, I could be wrong

I tried to find the value manually, it doesn't appear to be there yet.

reposted from duplicate thread From: Void Singer I'll assume this is about windlight. currently there is no way to set this by script, there is a jira feature suggestion on it here http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3114 (and a half dozen duplicates.... dunno why it was set as a VWR issue, I would think scripting changes should be SVC)

I believe it's PRIM_CAST_SHADOWS, and you can view it if you enter admin options (ctrl+alt+v) then open a script and click the insert box in the bottom left corner.

They noticed that they have forgotten scriptable glow: "we do need that, don't we?. they are working on it: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3114;jsessionid=9CA314FE601921D7C7DD24D1D1507533Till then texture brightness AND texture alpha channel sets glow intensity.

There is such a prim parameter defined, but I don't think it has anything to do with Glow. For one thing, it's boolean, which isn't the range of Glow, and for another, one might hope someday there could actually be some cast-shadows effect (and wouldn't it be superb if for once it was available to scripts *before* it was exposed in the editor?). FWIW, I tried setting this parameter and watched what happened in Windlight. Nothing, so far as I could tell.

Usually new features in release candidate viewers don't become scriptable for a while because adding new functions to LSL needs the Lindens to update the server, and they're reluctant to do that for a function that the majority of people (who don't use the RC viewers) won't be able to use.
