Hi there - can you please let me know if there is a common location in SL where scripters go? (I'm not sure where to start in that I've been to a few islands and mainland - usually there is only 1 person in that general area ).

Thanks - TB

I'm not sure that there is a single place where scripters congregate. I am actually doing more and more of my scripting offline so that I don't get interrupted by IMs and whatnot. I then log in to my own private platform high in the sky and play around with the script/debug until it works.

I would imagine that if there were a single place scripters congregated, it would be in sandboxes--just like builders.

When your screen is filled with a couple of scripts and you are checking debug outputs on your chat logs, you are not really in a position to tell anyone what your are doing as they can't see your screen. You just see some annoying chat spoiling your debug output and, to be polite, you break your train of thought, close a couple of windows and answer the question asked, that you're well today!

Scripting is not really a social occupation in game. I find sharing on these forums the most social way to discuss code and ideas.

You can also search in groups and join some scripting groups.
