Hi all,
I'm looking for a script that i can place into a prim, to be used as a donation box. I personally do not want any of the donation, it all has to go to a 3rd party.
example: Prim owner: me person getting paid: not me
i'm guessing i would need to know the 3rd parties UUID (not a problem) but i'm more than a bit stuck with the actual scripting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance Jimbo

Take a look at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGiveMoney. You ought to be able to make tiny modifications to the piggybank sample script there to make it serve your needs.

You must realize the money paid to a prim you own will go to your account! there is no other way From: Jimbo Mimulus i'm guessing i would need to know the 3rd parties UUID (not a problem)
When you know the third party's UUID the script can pay her/him from your account. In that way it may look as if money paid is paid to the third party, but your account will always be involved

of course the easiest solution is to have the prim owner and the payee be the same person... simplifies the accounting too, since they'll know who donated what.

From: Void Singer of course the easiest solution is to have the prim owner and the payee be the same person... simplifies the accounting too, since they'll know who donated what. Yeah, it's a little messier when a third party is the ultimate receiver but you could build a "paper trail" for accounting purposes if you really wanted to. Either send the 3rd party an IM every time someone makes a donation and L$ passes through to her/his account, or save the information in a list and dump it periodically at the 3rd party's request. A lot of donation systems really don't care about anything but keeping a running total, though, so there's no need to worry about this complication unless you have to. As Dora says, no matter how it's scripted, the OP is always going to have L$ passing through his own account. That's the way the money laundering business works.

Just FYI, this sub-forum is for helping people writing or modifying scripts. If you're looking for a completed script, try the "products wanted" forum.
What you're asking for is essentially a simple tipjar script with 3rd-party payout.
