I am trying to make a shower. I am not a scripter, so I have been playing around with water particle scripts and trying to understand what makes them tick.
So far, I have managed to change water color, but when I turn my "shower head" to point downward, it continues to spray upward.
What should I do? Thanks in advance :)

You will want to be using SRC_PATTERN_ANGLE or SRC_PATTERN_CONE to get your desired affect.
If you use either of those types of Patterns you can adjust PSYS_SRC_OMEGA to point in the direction you want. What I suspect though you are probably using a different pattern like PSYS_SRC_PATTERN_EXPLODE and I believe that pattern only shoots upwards. Here is a great page for you to look at as well.

Ok, after some more tinkering, I managed to make something aproximating a shower of water coming out of a shower head. Now I would like to ask for your kind help once again.

I need to be able to touch something like a faucet handle or the showerhead itself in order to turn it on and off. What would I look at next? Thanks in advance!

Look at the event touch_start and assuming that the whole shower is linked, I'd shoot a message_linked that will trigger the showerhead's particle script on and off.
