how do i get the online status for a list of people?
lets say i have a list of UIDS in my script, and i want to know for each of them if the person is online or not... how do i do that? for obvious reasons i cant simply iterate over the list, since dataserver replies are asynchronous...
any tips? bye, lance

It can be done and doesn't take much searching through the wiki to show how. In fact yesterday I posted exactly how to do it to demonstrate the absurdity of some security precautions and transparency of the system. I later took the script out of the post because you also have people like this: /327/46/307829/1.htmlWho want nothing else except to abuse the system. As outlined in that thread, it quickly becomes a question as to whether it is ethical to point out how to do it. Do you really need to see the online status for others that have decided to at least TRY to hide this info?

well, the "list of people" in the object will be populated by the people themself, so i'd say that counts as giving consent... the whole idea is having a "staff online" object in a shop without the need of having separate online indicators for each staff member.
