Yea, a spam bot must have hit that page. Might wanna send the owner an email so they can restore the page.

lslwiki.org was also hit. Alot of info was deleted as well as some that just had spam added to it.

There doesn't seem to be any contact info for whomever is currently running the wiki.

If someone knows who the owner currently is, please direct them to this thread and tell them to put some a link to some form of contact information on the wiki homepage.

(possibly, there is some contact info buried somewhere, but if this is the case, please make it easier to find for instances such as this.)

Someone has been doing what looks like a DoS attack for a few days now....pretty sad one, probably a kid in a basment somewhere using a script kiddie tool.

you can use my mirror, altho its from july(cheesefactory.us/lslwm), i tried to update it, but all of a sudden they changed the robots file and its being an ass

so i cant make a new mirror, but i could post porno links everywhere and dos it with no effort at all ... yea ok, good work

im working on making a mirror or the lsl portal but its slow goings since i basicly have to rewrite everything i use

since noone is keeping basic maintance on lslwiki.net i think its about time we let it die

There are only two 100% guaranteed ways to have unfettered access to the wiki.

Download Osgelds excellent copy and update it yourself. This is what I do and then you can also add in your own little code snippets and examples. My copy is a wealth of information now.(Thank you again Osgeld. Don't know how many times I have said that but it's never enough :) )

Download and use LSLEditor. You can have it download it's own copy of the wiki and browse it to your hearts content. Plus you can edit your scripts and F1 over a keyword and bring up that wiki page.

I just downloaded a copy of your mirror, Osgeld, thanks much!

p.s. the page link to the Typecast page appears to be broken, I assume it is in LL's wiki too. I'd check it if it were ever online ... *sigh*

yes my copy has issues

this is due to the fact that the source is all screwy, so it really depends on which link and how its written and which os your on

ie Typecast.htm works just fine from the type page, now somewhere else it may point to typecast.htm

and if your not on a windows based system thats 2 totally different pages (which causes 99% of the 404 errors on my website)

its the best i could get while using windows based software, aside from having 2 copies in the mirror one with all the pages uppercased and one with all the pages lowercased

since im having to redo almost all of it for the *offical* lsl portal its being done on a nix computer (slackware linux), which would cause its own set of problems with the old source, but im fairly confident with the new source it will be ok
