I was wondering can an object be scripted to know how it was rezzed e.g.

- rezzed on land
- attached as a HUD
- or worn as attachment and know which part of the body.

Any coding examples or clues would be most appreciated. :)

Try: llGetAttached()

Details here:

Try reading the other stuff on that site too....I hear it's useful ;)

You can't get a random object's history. You could script a specific object to create a record of it's own history if you wanted to, though, and then read it later. For example, you could script an on_rez event to do llGetPos() and then save its position in a list for later review. You could script a changed event so that it does llGetAttached() and then store that information too. A HUD is simply another attachment, so you can get that information with llGetAttached too.
