Does anyone know any way in which an object can send a texture to another object that isn't in the same sim?
As in, for instance, a networked vendor that can be centrally updated with new products? (I know those exist out there..)

just send the texture key via llemail() to the vendor, prims can display textures that they don't have in inventory via key.

But bear in mind you need full perms to the texture to be able to get it's key.
(I'm not sure why a no mod texture can't be propagated this way, but it can't.)

Yumi, if you already have the texture in your inventory you can do that anyway, that's why Eloise doesn't understand why it won't work with such a texture (and she ain't alone).
