I've been working with llSensor and sensor functions. The docs talke of a range og 96 meters. However,, even with that setting, the scans fail at about 18 meters, measured linearly.
What's your folks experience with sensor ranges?

What's your folks experience with sensor ranges? Hmm...happier than yours, at least so far. ![]() Are you near a sim border by any chance? IIRC, that can cause weird behavior on occasion. == danny d. |

Also, if you have > 16 detections within your 18m scan radius, you will get some unpredictable results....mind to clue us in a bit more?

96m is correct.
Two rules of thumb: 1) Are you using the right constant? AGENT, PASSIVE, ACTIVE, SCRIPTED 2) Is your sensor returning more than 16 values? (my guess is no) For more information, read here: http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llSensor Also, I believe a sensor works based on the global center of an object (eg. avatar) in terms of ranges. Don't hold me to that, though. ![]() _____________________
