Keys Dropped? Possible LSL bug?

Well, I have a curious question.

Have any of you experienced a key vanishing in front of you?

Well, here's the thing. I did a llKey2Name to display the names of the current occupants of Blue Hyena's Rental System.

Oddly, it works fine when I set the time for a day to be short, but.... When the time is longer than a day or two, eventually it is gone.

Is it possible that once a timer is up, then after a certain amount of time you will lose functionality of llKey2Name?

This has happened before to me in a timer() event. When you try to use llEmail with a timer running, llEmail will not work at all (It's not mentioned anywhere in the LSL wiki).

What do you think?

I think we need to see the code. I've got scripts running fine calling llEmail with a timer. Your problem sounds like you are overwriting a global variable at one point, maybe ?

In order for llKey2Name to work properly, the avatar by that key must be in the same sim as the object calling the function. If you still have to get a name from a key use llRequestAvatarData, but its a dataserver function, so you get its return value in the dataserver event.
