I know that I saw it somewhere in the list docs, but damned if I can find it again.


How do I convert a mixed type list to a string and back again, preserving the types?

The second example in this LSL wiki page should help:

I'd be interested to know if there's an easier or more efficient way to do this.

There is no better way. One of my on going campaigns is to get object to object comms that use lists. The amount of time cpu time waisted parsing string<->list is for no good reason.
