Audio can be heard everywhere when playing video

I am a land owner. I have been streaming videos from a URL using:

llParcelMediaCommandList([PARCEL_MEDIA_COMMAND_PLAY]);

It works fine apart from you can hear the audio at the same volume all over the island.

Please could someone help?

Help with what? That's the way streaming video works in SL. The volume of the audio stream isn't attenuated proportionate to an av or camera's distance from the screen(s) displaying the video. It's heard everywhere in the parcel by those playing the video stream as loudly or quietly as their individual client volume controls are set for.

Thanks for your response, but would anyone know a way to make the audio emanate from an object, so that it reduces in volume the further you are from it?

No way to do that with a stream. Your client side viewer is given the http address of the stream and it goes straight from that address to your computer. It isn't actually routed through the simulators.

We don't have that option yet. We could request it: Parcel media is supposed to go through alot of changes in the not too distant future:
