Okay, I am venturing into the wonderful world of particles, and I now have a headache!
I have some particles appearing around a 0.5 radius. Fantastic! But...the ultimate goal is to have the particles stay inside a prim, basically. This prim will them be made invisible. Is this not possible, or will my searching be rewarded? If I want an odd shape, will I have to manually set each particle effect in a different prim then link them all?
*starts to cry*

You can bounce particles off of the ground or the same horizontal plane that the prim containing the script is on. But you can't bounce particles off of a prim, so there is no way to "contain" them. The most you can do is drop the radius down smaller then the size of the prim.

Unforunately true... You will need multiple emitters if your prim is an odd shape and you want particles to, say, sparkle along the surface of that shape. They're entirely based off the center of the prim, and spray out radially from there uniformly, which means 'sphere', 'circle' fill shaped space are your options (you can 'dimple' that shape like you can a sphere prim though). You might be able to get clever with TARGET or ACCEL to make the particles drift a little to fill a slightly odd shape, (but you'd have to re-compute the direction for ACCEL anytime the prim was rotated.) Good Luck!
