Pose script behaving oddly

Why would the pose script i have been using for quite some time behave normally in one build, but not in another?

For example, i make 2 chairs, with the same script in each and the same pose in each... almost identical chairs all but a few small differences, how come when i stand from one chair, i cooly just stand up and when i stand from the second chair I am launched 10-15 meters away from the chair??

It there an obvious answer to this??

Thanx

There is a correlation between this and SL's Energy system. Small prims gain energy faster. In my experiments large poseballs do not 'push' on dismount as much as small poseballs. I've not yet furthered my experiments to see if prim sizes throughout the linkset contribute to this, but i'm willing to bet there is a poseball size difference between the two chairs.

Thanx Darien, I dont think thats the problem tho :-(

The pose is in a cushion in each chair.... and to cut corners when setting the poses, I just copied the cushion from one chair to the other.... using slide copy.

So it litterally is the same pose, script and prim but linked into slightly different builds... (oh, with different textures but i find it unlikely that this can contribute)

......... it couldnt be to do witht he order in which the prims are linked could it?? doubtful, but im gonna go and check that anyway.

Im at a loss? anymore ideas

You may find that the avatar when standing is intersecting a prim so the system gives them a bit more of a shove to get round the problem

It might be the location of the objects in the world, try switching them around..

But I have noticed some weirdness with link order and how things work.. but that was with rotational math.

It could also be a strange effect of the new sun, or the gravitational pull of a nearby huge prim :P

Seriously though, it's almost like voodoo. If you do figure out what the difference is I'd like to know to further my personal research :)

Very slight differences in the position of the prim containing the pose script can cause this. Also the link position of the pose containing script and of other parts of the chair can affect this. Nearby objects and the rotational position of you chair will also have an effect. From all of this you can see that ths simple answer to this problem is "it's magic".

Another thought, with TP's the ejection velocity (for want of a better term) is often related to the distance from the prim when you first sat on it. The usual work around is a small sleep before unsitting (not sure thats relevant with a 'pure' sit but....)
