Anything non-ASCII gets turned into "?" when put into email. I also tried llStringToBase64 but it also converts to non-ASCII to "?". Is it even possible to do this?
For what it's worth, Unicode DOES work over XML-RPC, but I don't have the option to use that in this application.

Since LL is getting "international", it's time to get proper Unicode support in SL. Right now I get the same "?" when pasting UTF-8 text into scripts and notecards :/ I'll try UTF-16 this evening...
