What happens on SIM Restart

Does a SIM restart cause lists of data created and stored in a script to re-initialize themselves? In other words do scripts get RESET when a SIM is restarted or does a script simply pick up where it left off with all data intact?

This leads to the next question. Can a script write data to my hard disk?

1) No after restart the script will pick up where it was.

2) Yes but you will need to use http or IM or one of the other protocols to do it, not really my field of expertise, someone else will be able to give a better answer, but you always have the problem that a restart may leave your data uncomplete.

I think a sim CRASH could cause your script to lose track of exactly where it was when the crash occured.

Correct, depending on whether or not the sim was able to crash gracefully or not. It is possible the sim could reload a previous state, and scripts would pick up at whatever point they were at the time that sim 'snapshot' was written. How often things are written is anybody's guess.
