Remembering Crimson Falls in pictures...

I went to visit one of my favorite sims today-- the highly detailed and rather spooky Crimson Falls-- and was completely shocked to find it gone. I don't know the details, but the sim is under new management and almost everything from the village is gone.

I really loved this place: the creepy carnival by the docks, the run-down diner, the outstandingly detailed asylum. It was always a great place to just wander around. So, I thought I'd post a few self-portraits I took there awhile back for a contest entry. I probably have other pics, but these are the first I could find.

My original description of these pics: "I was imagining a mysterious bloodied figure that wanders around the asylum in a shredded dress.... she was once a patient, but no one remembers her anymore. She seems to have died under strange circumstances, but the details are lost to memory... all that remains are glimpses of her, reacting in fear to something long gone."

Hrmmm sux that that's gone, it was one of the better detailed sims I've seen of late.

Hey guys.

Crimson Falls was not put under new management. Only the residential sister sim of Crimson Hills. The owner of both sims decided it was a financial strain and had to sell Falls. Hills had a change in theme and is now under management of its owner and his staff. On behalf of the staff of falls, I'm sorry that the village was removed with little notice. Due to some unfortunate events the town was deleted/returned to the creators. Its not how I wanted it to go and we are all very sorry we couldnt see it off with a goodbye like we had planned, but these things happen sometimes.

As for the village and the asylum. They are, for the time being, gone. I may re-create them in the future if time, ambition, and money ever allow but as it stands I have no current plans to rebuild the sim as it was. Thank you all for the support and Im so glad I could, at least for a little while, give people something they enjoyed.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear it. It's sad to lose such a cool place, but yeah, it happens. I'm glad I got to see it while it was there. I'd still like to see other people's pics of the place... I'll see if I can find more!

I was so sad to log into my alt account and find that CF was gone. It was a great RP community and a wonderful and unique atmosphere. It will be greatly missed.
