Feature Suggestion: Local Equilization Viewing Mode

This is a normal version of an underwater scene from the preview gridl.


This is the same scene with a local equilization filter applied.

Accordingly I propose the addition of a local equilization viewing mode for SL. ;)

Equalization isn't always appropriate because if there isn't a lot of dynamic range in the visual spectrum, it can make someone's gentle face look like a harsh mask of angst. But I find myself often adding extra contrast to photos in Photoshop, and SL's default contrast ain't all that MTVish. So, as an option, I'd surely like it.

We need Peter Max-style filters too! (Thanx for the tip, cat sis Flea.)

I did mine using the local equalization filter in Corel's Photopaint 11.
