whichever Linden claimed that there was a cap on scripts at a couple hundred metres and a cap on the world at a couple more past that might wanna reneg that statement.

Hehe! I managed to 'fall' my way up to 400,000m once. Things start looking very odd up there.

I hear that between 750k and 1m your AV starts to freak out and fold in on it'self losing polygon cohesion...
But I havnt tried it |

I forget who exactly, but they used to make big towers in the morris sandbox. I used to attach a mighty backpack, and fly up to super high heights. And yes, the world looks like you're in atmosphere at that point. I also do this with a very basic av, so in case it gets horribly displaced, I'm not re-adjusting it for .. minutes.

Folding in on itself and losing cohesion eh? Sounds like a nice virtual method of going "HEY GOOF! YOUR IN SPACE... You Expect to live?!"
:: chuckles :: j/k All aside, I think Id love to play with the height like that and see what I can do. |

You can keep going up forever but you'll see nothing aside from random buggyness. People have been to multiple millions of meters in height.

I used to do that, but with the caps to the maximum velocity you can attain being lowered by the Lindens, it makes it a much more difficult process to get that high. I have an image of what it looked like several million meters up which I will share once I find it

I made a two man rocket, but It just disappears when I get to a certain height, with a 3 min drop... quite cool actually

I gots to 20 million meters up... It almost crashed the sim with all 400 push scripts apply an impulse of <0,0,999999999999> in a while(1) loop. I have snaps of it in my account, but of couse, I cant show it.. Im suspended from retaliation from some griefer. 13 more days to go! sigh.
-Alpha Zaius Edit: Oh, when you hit the 1 million mark, your avatar is invisible, or partly invisible.. 10 million and your body is stretch in every direction about 10 - 20 meters. ![]() |

Hm, I wonder what kind of numerical storage format they're using if it messes up at a mere 1e6!
