Watch me build my store!

...Or at least start building my store.

(I'm under the impression it's okay to post something like this, even though it features a place that I'll eventually use to sell things. I'm not trying to advertise, just show off. ;) )

This is the first building I've done, and I'm pretty proud of it, even if there are still a lot of little fiddly adjustments to make (mostly lining things up). And some not so fiddly ones. Like, for instance, the textures:



It won't be a technicolored plywood monstrosity when I'm done with it, I promise.

I do have two textures in place, though: tiles for the pool. Since my landlord lets me terraform, it's a real pool, full of actual water, not just a prim with a water texture. Behold its ripply glory:

Though you can't see it in either of these pictures, there's a transparent prim on top to keep people from falling in. It's a pretty deep hole.

And, because I feel like it, the view from one of the balconies. It's good being at the edge of a sim.

Where? I wanna watch.

I'll be posting more pictures in this thread as I go.

My land's in Nauru, but the building's not rezzed when I'm not actively working on it. Right now all that's there is a hole in the ground.

So you're just selling the hole? Beats my nothing that I have for sale.

I'm done with the building itself! It's not the gleaming, rose encrusted, delicate marvel of stone and silver glass that I wanted it to be, but... you know. First building. The only thing I'm so unhappy with I might change is the texture on the balconies. (If it didn't take any effort, there are a number of textures I'd redo, but it's just not worth it right now.)
