Garth and I went touring last night and found that the Dore to Luna trolley is running! What fun, we made the loop a couple of times and I took these pictures.

Thanks for the heads up, Pituca! I took a ride myself, and its nicely relaxing. All the sims were empty though, giving a sort of out "post apolocalyptic" ghost town feel to the city sims!

I just wanted to add that I was on the trolley this weekend, sitting next to some strangers. People love this thing! One guy commented on how neat it was and someone else, who had been in SL for over six months, but had never been to the city sims was amazed and said she was going to bring friends to see it.

I don't know how much effort went into getting it working again but I'd say it was worth it. I'd love to see more Linden created things like this in SL.

Anyone know how the great SL train project thing is going?

I started a thread here a bit ago about the GLSR too. My SL husband and partner Garth Fairlight put in some time scripting it. It is going along pretty well now. You should fly out and have a ride around!

There is a station in Periwinkle. The train runs from Olive to the end near Umber.

I've been on that a few times in the last week. I didn't realise it'd been missing as I haven't been around long enough to remember.

There should be more public transport in SL I think. It's fun to ride vehicles, esp. with other people, but not everyone wants to buy one or even to drive themself. The Lindens should sponsor the creation of a monorail system. All together now, MONORAIL MONORAIL MONORAIL!!!
