I wanted to do MORE typical Swedish things.. I did know we was not many Swedes in SL but I was thinking about the few (at that time) that was from Sweden and started to plan a real Swedish Midsummer Pole in Second Life. And that some day we maybe should become more and more…as I often wrote about Second Life and tryed to market SL al over.
My Midsommer Pole Project:
After weeks of searching for that special and copy/mode version texture I asked at forum and the lovely Osprey - as many times before and later helped me with one... That was the first part I needed.. Next was to ”construct” a Pole that looked like one.. and also gave a real impression of one.
Flags and parts that moves in the wind.. flexi was new at that time and I tryed and tryed and one day the flexi parts did as I WANTED... then we have ribbons (not al use it but i wanted it!) around the pole parts.. so I asked Gothi for a special made - tks a LOT to Gothi to!...
First pics are from the start.. a try.. and the body of the Midsumer pole are ready! Tks to friends and many many hours of work.TO MANY. I am far to EXAKT
And to be EXAKT take time. Lots of time.
And of cours ethe Midsummer celebration are when we also use our national Dresses of al kinds and models and diff colours.. Female as male ones.. children also use them,, if they want

The Midsummer pole are a part of my Swedish Box and all that are members in the group: Swedish People in SL - have it. And I cross my fingers that the leaves havent ”died” since last year and many of us now - a huge group - will have midsummer partys in Second Life this year.. we had ONE last year.. what I know.. I myslef was in Sälen (Dalarna a typical place to be in at Midsummer) together with family and al mosquito's! Plus some svia and knot... They love me BTW!
