Heyo. Here's a look at a robot avatar I've been working on for the last month or so. This attachment can fit most child to adult-size avatars without body shape modifications thanks to some contortionist animation inspired by Reitsuki Kojima's famous transform animation. This is the initial build of the Recon Drone. While much of its form and geometry will survive into the final version, you'll note the telemetry package (the camera-thing) looks tacked on. When I first built the drone, I was doodling and had no idea of the reconaissance purpose it would later serve Sianna Kinsella insists upon calling me "Shuttlebunny" when I wear the prototype drone in the Ahern Welcome Area. If anyone knows what that means, please share. The next image details the Recond Drone in its current form. Gone is the dorky camera stapled on top. The telemetry package for the Mk2 was considered from the very beginning and integrated into the robot's main structure. I'd love to see more totally non-humanoid robot avatars. The only other one I know of was made by Psyra for, I believe, Chris Linden. That one is neat, too. If only I could figure out how to keep the newbies from trying to bump me around like a beach ball...

Nice Enabran, thanks for sharing that. I've piddled around with that idea myself but never got anything I found satisfying. Maybe i shouldn't have tried making it a vehicle...

You can get a lot of vehicle benefits with an attachment. I've added flight assist to the drone, which is really a lot of fun because you can fly and hover anywhere without the clunkiness of vehicle piloting. It's great for exploring above the clouds and crossing sims quickly.

How does one go about coding an AV such as that? I would like to attempt to make something I did in Photoshop as an AV, its more humanoid than yours though. for the SL version I would probably make it so I can switch between the guns (for things like chinatown) and clamps. For your example, say, you'd make the head and then attach it to your head, then the arms, and attach to your arms, etc.

problem is the thing I wish to do doesnt have feet or legs in the traditional sense. This can be done by somehow removing the leg movement from the walking/running animation I guess.
