I love LOVE to take pictures but so far I only did it for myself and friends. Now I'm wondering if I have enough skills to start my own modest lil'studio? I try to use as much *natural* skills as possible and use photoshop at minimum.

Most of this pics were just resized, not altered. Your thoughts, please... and if you like my work and need a pic, well... contact me?

;)

I think they are great. I like the lighting..there is a neat cool feel to it. Soft and cool..nice. I really like the one with the woman and the man sitting; the contrast between her smooth albaster skin and his rougher brown skin..as well, there seems to be a lot of personality in the shots.

Just my opinion, but I think it is as pro as it gets in SL.

Just like with any kind of art, photography will also be seen the same way. It's always going to be 'in the eye of the beholder'. Some people may love your stuff, and others may not. Myself, I love raw straight out of SL pics that aren't modified by an outside source. I think it takes so much more effort to get the right lighting, angle, etc, than taking some snaps in world and modding them all up. Anyone with a bit of knowledge in those kinds of programs can make a pile of poo look like gold. Plus ever since Windlight was introduced, the options are almost limitless within the client. . I have on occasion used Photo Buckets editing tools to add some text or frames around pics for profiles, but I still really enjoy getting the pic just right in SL and not having to do any modding.

This wasn't really a comment on your pics personally, as yes they are nice, just more of a comment on pics in general. I'm a bit old school heh.

AnnaBelle, I love your pics. I like that they are straight out of SL. I love the use of lighting and on the third picture I love the soft glow you seem to have managed.

I think that as ZsuZsanna said, it depends on the individual person whether or not they like photos, But personally, I think with the simplicity of your photos, with the quality, you have a real shot at a studio...

Good luck :D

Thanks Dnali, that's my favorite pic of myself with the BF. ^^

Photobucket apparently didn't like it though...

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Yup, I like these shots a lot, particularly the first and the second. Good sharp detail and nice compositions. When I go around SL I am appalled at some of the work that is being passed off by those who have set themselves up as professional photographers. Frankly, it's caveat emptor all over the place. But your work is definitely superior to a great deal that I've seen. You could do well.
