Jumped on preview cause i been waiting for ANY local light to be useable and put out a unfinished build i been mocking around with -.- big images 800x1600, Top one is with light on ( All lights + shadows ) , bottom one is without, pretty much how SL looks like in main server. Yep this is why i always had local light on when i could, highly appriciate all the work you guys are doing on new HW light, its abit shorter then old one was (size on prims = how big light got ) didnt like that old way to much so this is alot better \o Another one

Another one

That looks really familiar. Is that the Cloud Temple from Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? The first pic atleast.

I saw that last one personally in the preview grid last night, looks really nice inside and out. I just wish that inside would trigger the OC. >P

Thanks for posting these - I've been curious about what people have done with the new lighting and haven't had a chance to play with it yet. If we can have this sort of lighting and playable framerates its very exciting! Beautiful builds by the way.

Sweet! The very first shot, you could easily mistake it for a building from a "real" game. ^.^

Forget about playable framerates, at the lowest setting, which only calculates the 6 nearest light sources, the FPS fell to below 6fps. Even with draw distance set to 64m. It sucks as bad as current main grid version.

actually. I found this one going very smoothly and with even better framerate than i have in 1.9.0 with my lights off. And the light ridiculous!!! This's so lovely!

Dunno, my fps with local light never been as good as they are in preview, but i never trust it to it comes to main anyway
average 19ish fps with 128/196m view distance, max light.

What a difference! But I hope people still continue to 'bake' lights on textures to take full advantage of the limited light sources.
