I am taking pictures for a friend's shop and there are skins... so the PG will have lingere or bikini's... but didn't know where the line was drawn. Would be nice to know before i do anymore... thank you   |

The problem is that the same movie can get different ratings in different countries - with the same cuts.
It would be great to have some actual guidelines.

Bing, I think your ad is fine for PG.
The way I look at PG vs. Mature is like US network TV vs. cable. They show Victoria's Secret ads on network all the time that are way more risque than your ad is. Naked butts appear every so often as well in shows that have enough clout to get away with it, like ER. (Although not lately with the FCC going all fascist on us under W, but anyway...)
Another option you might want to condider if you don't want to have put clothes on an av in a skin ad is simple black bars. You can show a lot more of the detail work of the skin that way, as the bars will cover far less than the lingerie will. Also, I think bars make it more clear that the product for sale is a skin and not a piece of clothing.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did want that kinda VS vibe. THis is just a test shot... thats why I was wondering. I wanted to try something wide. Don't see alot of advertisments in wide mode if you know what i mean. Normally just a square or a squarish retangle. I will include more definite information on there. Thanks though. What about the layout?

The only real way to get a PG rating would be to submit the ad to the MPAA advisory board and have them vote on it. Since it isn't a movie it might take a while for a review. ;P
In the words of the MPAA, brief nudity is allowed as long as it isn't sexual. Mild sexuality and brief nudity will garner a PG-13 rating, which is still PG. Then again, since PG means parental guidence and we are all over the age of 18, why I need my 75 year old mother's guidence on what material is appropriate for me to see is beyond me...
