Hi all,

I want to get responses on my first bikini. It is modelled by Alix and I toke some snapshots of it.

The images are only resized, auto leveled (for color) and barely touched by a unsharpen filter. So the quality of the bikini is fairly what you get in SL.

So what do you think, will it sell?

Thanx! It was hard when starting with it. But once you get the hang of it, it becomes fun. Got several other colors, prints on the same model:

- leopard skin printed
- giraffe skin printed
- white
- dark blue
- bay watch red
- yellow

working on a horizontal striped one and matching thongs for all of the above. I thought of an inital price of L$ 200,-. Too high/too low, just drop me your comments.

I am relatively new to SL, so really wondering what the incrowd is thinking of this newbie design. :)

Nice work!

It certainly looks like a well-built bikini in your screenshots. The disparity between the amount of top coverage and the amount of bottom coverage isn't to my taste (I'd prefer a bottom with slightly more coverage to go with that), but others may like it. And you have gotten a design with stripes to work well; the fact that they're not intended to be parallel anyway helps, of course.

Good luck with your future design work!

Well Shirley, i am working on a more covering bottom, but the tiny one is the result of the wierd curves that SL put in that area. I cut the coverage down to the minimum to get the curves right.

No knowing that there are some strange thing to keep in mind there i can work on a covering bottoms matching the tops. And visa versa, I am also working on a less covering top.

*grins* none parallel lines are the easy part. Trying to get a horizontal striped one to look realistic, but that is a p.i.t.a.

Thanx for the comments.

One cute option I have seen with Bikinis, if you want to create a cover for the bottom but retain the skimpiness of the bikini bottom (Which looks good, BTW... well done. I have seen a lot of Bikinis where the skimpiness just looks like you might as well have not put anything there at all), is to add a skirt/sarong with a prim "knot and ties" at the hip. Use the same texture as the bikini is amde of and add it to the ensemble to maximize options. Throw the whole thing in a folder and just drag and drop the folder on your av to wear it.

Shirley, is this bottom more in the way you like it? It is modelled by Sahirah Hauptman.
