Hi yall. It's that blooming Kei Mars again...

I was mucking about with alt click while seated in my garden when all of a sudden my camera got stuck in this really weird oogy low angle, which somehow "spoke" to me (I'm like that).

So I snapped away and later stitched the snaps together in Photoshop to make this weird little collaged panorama. I also treated it to try to give the image the tonality of a Miyazaki anime (part of the inspiration for my gardens).

What do you think?

If anyone else has any experimental collage or montagey style stuff, please share it with us :D

PS if anyone wants the full hi res version (large), IM me and I'd be glad to share it with them under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial Sharealike license

Kei has been teaching me some Photoshop tricks lately, and I made my first digital collage a few days ago out of a photo taken in SL. The first is the original and the second is the new version. :P

LOL. There is nothing particularly special about my card. It's just an ATI Radeon Mobility 9600. I just had draw distance whacked right up for the snaps, and then performed some Photoshop trickery afterwards.

Thanks for your comments!

I think you got that the wrong way round. I'm sure the second is the original. I remember not feeling myself that day :p

Upping the draw distance in SL really improves the veiw of the world.

Here is a shot. On the left draw distace at 128, the right 488.

What a difference it makes huh!?

Very nice Kei!

Yep draw distances are critical.

Many Mac beta people will agree that to maximize performance we have to keep our draw distances low - mine is usually in the low 100's - and this is a nice reminder to stop and bump up the distances and look around the world with new eyes.
