After 2 years of off-and-on inspiration, I've finally finished my 1000 avatars project.
The goal was to take one thousand different mugshots of avatars around the grid while travelling around randomly. I normally went to where there were a lot of dots on the map at any given time, and thus ended up at a lot of clubs, musical events, discussion panels, and welcome areas. According to the software it only needed to duplicate about 7-8 images in the entire mosaic. _____________________

Repeats, or just people looking similar? According to the software it only needed to duplicate about 7-8 images in the entire mosaic. Quite a few repeats.. I'd have to go back and look, but it seemed to be at least 25-30, and they seemed to be identical. Even still, the image looks like 999 image total from the count (not including the right-most column, which is mostly cropped), so any dupes means you're missing a few, unless they are the cropped ones. <.< That's not meant to be a criticism, btw; just happened to notice while examining it in detail. It is an amazing project. I'm only sorry there's no (or few; I might've missed them) Dragons in there. |
