New Boardman/Clara Bridge!

After twisting some arms I was finally allowed to make a new bridge connecting Clara and Boardman, the previous one blocked the water way and wouldnt allow us to sail through, which was a shame considering Harold and Joan Nomad have a beautiful marina on the Boardman Kissling border. So I built a nice draw bridge that we could sail through, and still be connected to our new sister Suburb sim of Clara. :)

A VERY big thanks to SteveR Whiplash who did all the scripting! :D

Why? Could you elaborate? This was a wonderful public monument, into which a lot of labour was put, to improve the lives of several sims, and it matched the other incredible amounts of time and labour put into the Clara development by many (including myself).

I think it's just a good business practice that if you are going to make grand announcements of zoned residential sims for sale or rent or participation, if they don't work out, you should take some responsibility and explain why so we can all learn from the experience.

This is really a shame. I saw this drawbridge and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in SL, and it solves the problems other face in building cross-sim bridges (we have two, one made by Foolish Frost in Ravenglass/Carlisle and the other made by SuLuMor Romulus in Refugio/Ross)--namely that you have to build really high to allow for a high-sail lot to go through.

Making a scripted drawbridge, if it could be publicly accessed and be on a script that didn't lag sims, could be a good solution.

Ah, that's why it didn't rez this morning. sad.
What got me there waiting longer was a sign (wich was the only tangible proof that a bridge had to exist), wich says "hazard: moving bridge", but I didn't expect it to move SO much.

Yeah, unfortunatly there was some capricious changes of plan and the bridge is no longer needed in boardman/clara.

So um.... yeah, but I guess it works, we can still sail through... heh.
