I think I'll let this one speak for itself...

3 days on it so far...

Oh, and that little island... It's the Techra Sim... Note the cloud cover in the branches...

I have been around long enough to see a lot of trees built in world, large and small. Flea's trees and .. there was another.. but sadly I can't remember who built it... were the most impressive in size and realism.

Note I said were.

Wow, nice job.

Thanks. You would never believe the problems with building in that scale. SL's built in limits make manuvering parts in a build that large problematic...

Then again, the software development teams probably never envisioned some old Fool trying to build a sim sized tree...

Just sent several snapshots to Snapzilla. Very nice job.

The fog is really effective in this case. makes for great atmosphere flying around in the upper branches.

Wow, nice job.

You probably mean Taessa Weaver's tree on top of the Shipley mountain. I lived right next to it when I was a noob.

What's going to be really tricky it the sculpting of it over time. Real trees have a very organic (of course) design that needs a bit more chaos. So far, the facades I've put up are a good start, but a few more branches will be needed, as will more random trunk pieces for effect.

Always fun to build thing like this. Even with blue (green?) prints, you never know what you'll get in the end.

7000+

Good number of them are the tri-prim 'leaf balls'. Also the branch sections take more than a few as well...
