Indeed, MrsJakal almost reeled ol' Milo in last night at the fishing competition. :>

I think she had to toss him back, don't think they make an aquarium his size.

Out of curiosity, Kats, would someone be at my throat if I made a little kitty sculpture based on that adorable (Hee!) forum avatar of yours? Don't wanna tread on anyone's toes but that forum avvie always made me want to model it ingame. ;D

(If not, well, I have a Bengal at home that will pose for me for another cute looking pic)

heh, i think it's the puss-in-boots from Shrek 2. I love those eyes. I also love MrsJakal's forum AV. makes me laugh EVERY time i see it.

An ironic thing to say, Tor, as I cut my computer artist *and* webdesign teeth on my A500+. And I always adored my '64.

Milo's merely seagoing now, I've surrendered on trying to find the "right" aircraft script, and finally settled with retexturing Milo the other day. He looks much more lively now, and I'm adding a new prims to him to flesh out some more "cuddliness" to him. (Still got 9 prims free for his body, and an unlimited amount for his noggin)

May make some variation idears and add "sea monsters" as a line of critters... was especially pondering a huge sea turtle avvie and textured up a shell for starters.

Wish I could share more. Sigh.

Th Amiga story ends on a sad note. I began 2D computer art in 1989 on the C64 and continued till 1996 on the Amiga.

Obviously the C64 stuff vanished into the netherworld.

About 70% of all the pics I made since 1990 ended up on my 20-meg A570 HD.

Then in March of 1996... the MFM drive motor gave out on it.

Since then I've recieved a lot of headshakes when I asked if anyone had the facilities to recover the disk from the old MFM drive, and transplant it into a working case. Sadly, MFM drives were discontinued about 2 years before the drive pooted out.

So I have 20 megs of my art, my soundtracker MOD work (I did music too!), I almost don't remember myself what else is all there... sitting in my room on inaccessable media.

My avatar image is the Puss from Shrek 2. I actually didn't know this when I started using the picture (I just love kitties). I don't think anyone should mind if you make anything modeled after the avatar. I saw a player with the Puss avatar once... I think it was Upshaw, but I'm not sure (I am a bit of a ditz

).

^_^ it was indeed me but Willow Broom did the excellent work on the AV itself.

I merely created a Poser pose for it.

(reminds self to finish project #1356: script hat and auto-draw sword for Puss AV)

P.S. Psyra, what brand of HD was actually in that a570 box? I've still got bits and pieces of old Seagate and Miniscribe 20M drives laying about.
(for that matter I've still got a C64 that worked last time I turned it on... never had an Amiga<sigh>

It had *no* brand name. Hee. There was no label on it or anything. The only thing I could tell is that is was a 20-meg MFM drive of some mystery variety. I don't think I would be able to find the whole of it now if I tried. ANd it may be dead, as the A500 got partially submurged in a basement flood 2 years ago and the HD was underwater for a day and a half. x.x
