Experimental Photography in SL

I heard others like to enhance their photos in SL, aside from straight snapshots. I'm relatively new to SL, but no stranger to digital manipulation. I'd be interested in seeing similar work of others, if anyone is up to it.

i look forward to seeing more of your work and similar work from others. (there has been similar work done in the past, but having a thread specifically for such digital manipulation is a good idea.. and having it start with such wonderful examples sets the bar at an inspirational level!)

there are a spattering of galleries in SL that i'm sure would be proud to display your work. hopefully one, or more, of them will pop in here and provide you with some direction on that.

now i want to go work on something.

It was the best game for getting good location shots, and I love playing it. I should start again.

Again, really nice work i like it alot!

I like the noir overtones and the shadow overlay--it give things sort of a vampiric feel, and I don't mean specifically related to classical "bloodsuckers" but sort of a gravity that something captures you in its rapture when looking.

Those who produce sl photos of this calibre might look up the Selador Gallery on Find. I have a couple of pictures on display, but would like more. Indeed, if Nihilistic were interested and had enough examples, he would be welcome to take over my top floor for an exhibition.

It pleases me to see so many others posting their work, it is very inspiring. Now, here's my responses..heh

Garbage Prototype - That gun is bigger than you! haha But no, it looked fun and I enjoyed the feel of the images. Thank you so much for sharing.

Torley Linden - Thank you so much for the feedback.

MadamG Zagato - The clouds made a very cool backdrop. The only thing that threw me off is how shadowy your avatar was in the midst of all the lightness of the clouds.. Otherwise, it was great.

Lisbeth Cohen - Someone has a touch of the fey in them. The spellcasting was very origonal, for some reason it reminded me of Amy Brown's fairy paintings. Mystical. The wedding one was nice, as well, though I definately lean as far away from matrimony as one can get.

kaia Ennui - I do have others, in fact I just did an extensive shoot last night and have another scheduled. So, will be working on those. I didn't want to post a million images here to discourage others or make this thread all about me - I wanted to see other's creations. I'm now freelance in SL and will be submitting my "talents" to various publications, as well as may consider a gallery once I have a home situated (waiting on a mate to finish his sim).

Selador Cellardoor - That's a very kind offer. As of now I don't have enough material for an entire gallery, as some of my work was simply the equivilent to "light sketching" for people who wanted better profile pictures. I'll get back to you, though. And I will drop by your gallery to take a look.

Everyone else who left feedback/comments which I have not covered, thank you. Believe me, artists do need feedback... It's how we can determine if our content is really for public consumption.

I've never gotten into doing photography in SL professionally but I've done it in the past for fun . I entered a couple of photos in the Seburo/PD photography contest a long time ago. I've done pictures for a few friends and some of myself. Here's one from the contest and one of me and Water Rogers. As you can see I lean towards darkness and shadows a lot, not sure why . Your photos are really great btw and I look forward to seeing more from you!
