Wow.. lower than low......

TP in... follow the mini map and fly up.. then you get an 8 second eject... But not quick enough for the snapshot.......

I guess I don't get some people.......

Are you surprised or something??? I come across dozens of places a day using bot farms for traffic... All the rage these days. This is why they are trying to change search to make them less important.

That is just pathetic and if they want traffic why are they ejecting everyone?
If you have a good club and good music there is no need for bots, that just tells me their club sucks big time lol! Heck you wont even find a single camping chair in my club, camping chairs are another thing that doesn't make sense to me. you want people to come to your club for the music and fun.

second computer, running multiple accounts is how you do bots. You can be pretty much garunteed that if its in the "popular places" tab they have an army of bots as that still counts traffic. Anyone who claims to be in there without bots is lying through their teeth.

Its possible to do with one computer if you have one powerful enough... but SL is a resource hog, so I wouldn't recommend it. Mannequins are the only way I approve of bots.

Erm... running multiple clients as bots is the ancient noob way of doing it, the bot farms actually just use one libsl program, logging the bots on and keeping their connections alive. It could also even be simply run on a webserver instead of a personal computer.

Its nothing new and has been well known but until only recently been heavily abused by those that seek to lie to their own customers and squeeze every L$ out of the economy for their greed. Unsurprisingly these are the people that run lame traffic boosters such as camping chairs and I wouldn't be surprised for these people to go as low as even using copybots to squeeze out the very lifeblood of SL for their selfish purposes.

Libsecondlife has been seeded with good intentions and it is only beginning to finally come to its original purpose as people realize their potential for making highly interactive situations in SL, from the skin, clothing, animation industry as mannequins for showing products, to useful and good tutorials for newbies, to the snail growth game development industry and beyond.

This is the first time I have heard of bots.LOL!
Maybe I am just old fashioned, but I am under the thinking of if you have a good club with awesome music then eventually the people will come.
like I said in an ealier post, I refuse to even put 1 camping chair in my club, Now I have put a linden Tree in the club, but that is only to help out new people

Check the mini map - turn off surface patch... still unable to cam to the bots but you can see they moved by the mini-map.

ooo! a free ad for yourself on their banlist. A positive spin ya. I'm always looking at banlists =) And just to rub it in to them put a comment in your profile saying "woohoo! I got banned by a botfarmer =D"

A quick comment on banlists. I get the odd adbot comes round my place looking to loiter with a title advert and I quickly learned that if the only ad they got was a placement on my banlist then hey! they'd take it. Cheeky sods lol. So I made me a terminator bot, I affectionately call Arnie obviously =), who silently kills any adbot on his deathlist.

nb. Can't wait for the day when Arnie gets ARed by another bot for not giving a warning first. hahahahha =)
