Well, after posting Botany Black's Dryad avatar, I was approached by Dee Firefly to make another custom Dryad skin.

Here you can see her new look:

And Botany's Tree.

Excuse the wall, I think my neighbor is trying to make some kind of comment about the build. I guess it's a compliment.

At least I have to assume so, since everyone else who saw it raved over how good it looked.

Great avs, and I love that tree! I'll have to drop by for a closer look.

I've had a Big Tree on my property at one time or another, first in Dusun and now in Mallard... and I've noticed that either people really like them or really dislike them. I suppose there are many who are indifferent, but those are the ones who don't say anything... :D

...and I just have to say that Foolish works at quite phenomenal speed and is extremely accomodating with customisations :)

Now I can fall entirely into character when stalking my woods and caring for my flora and fauna !

As for the neigbourly purple wall  I just can't believe some people - why on earth someone would presumably prefer to see other boxes rather than a wonderful and elegant growing thing is quite beyond me. Botany's treehouse as built by Foolish is lovely. I bought my own treehouse home a while back and dearly love it, but one day, one day *chuckles*... I *shall* build my own ;)

Thanks Foolish :) *huggs*

You're welcome! It was a pleasure to make for you. I must say it looks becoming on your avatar!

With Summer and Fall done, I just need to make Spring and Winter... Then, no more Dryads by my hand...

Well, the wall came down for whatever reason, with no words on the matter. I'm glad it worked out.

Would you guys believe the tree only took a day to make. Now I just need to add TPs, furnishings, and perhaps some tree-mushroom balconies...

Yes... That would be nice...

Tree-dwellings are cool (OT?)

I've always been fascinated with tree-dwellings.. Botany's is really fine.

I've done a series of pen drawings along this theme.
Here's a sample of my trees --- and little residents. I have more on a webpage online somewhere (scratches head in reflection).

About the purple wall (thankfully gone)- I'm obviously still a noobee, but can't you put up a matching wall and texture it with scenery in harmony with your plot?

I could, but why bother. My view was toward the water, and the issue is resolved.

You know, A big enough plt and I COULD make that tree you posted... I think... Perhaps... An 80x60 plot could do that, perhaps 80x80... A 6656 m2 plot could support it... That would have 1512 prims... Could I do that in 500 prims and make it look good enough to be worthwhile...

Yes...

I'm certain I could build that, and make it livable with an 80x80 and 500-600 prims...

Now wouldn't THAT be a challenge...

That one would need twice the space, sideways. double the prim needs... Or perhaps just 75% more...

Nice pics...

Well shucks... (drags toe in sand).. that 's a nice thing to say...
It's always like a hug to get that kind of comment :)

I did that website a few years back when I had dialup, it was a big deal at the time to upload those scans. DSL sure has changed things for me.

I had a great time doing those drawings. Things have changed, and I don't have the time to work on more (almost addictive as SL). But I keep planning to get back to them, maybe with colors.
