Traffic jam in Linden, Blue Mountains, Australia

We were caught in one last Monday. For two hours. And just as it started to speed up, I spotted this elevation sign. Unfortunately, the Linden Sewerage Works sign was obscured by vegetation. Nor did I get the phone out in time to snap the Linden Primary School.

But, by the faint text on this sign, Linden has a three digit elevation, which supports my theory that Australia is in fact a private island that has been terraformed beyond all known limits. You must admit, it goes some way towards explaining that huge lump of rock all lonesome in the middle of the desert. To say nothing of the platypus - as odd a collection of prims as I've ever seen.

Actually when I think about it, it explains everything:
- people can hover on the surface of water attached to small bits of wood
- the Opera House - 1 prim, Shift-drag, rotate, Shift-drag, rotate, Shift-drag, rotate, you could build that in 10 minutes
- rabbits, one of those unstoppable self-replicating scripts
- Lightening Ridge goat racing, hey goats are just as easy to animate as snails
- rows of poker machines in every single pub
- sailboats in the harbour never tack, 'cause they're using vehicle scripts
- magpies that don't caw, but repeat snatches of song from six other birds over and over - it's a bird_calls sound sample
- it never, ever rains
