Post your Winter Expo builds!

I'd love to see other peoples Winter Expo builds, since I can't move around much in SL (PC up the creek a bit)..

Anyway mine is called Zaps Cabin (its in find).

I decided to make a howling white wolf for my entry.

mine - that's an amazingly life-like artificial tree circa 1960 at the bottom

i started making ice cogs on a whim and then just ran with it

I'd post my Calvin & Hobbes build, but for whatever reason (me thinks it's the Nvidia problem I was discussing with Forseti last night) some of the snow textures won't load and it looks like poo poo.

Winter of Discontent.

Contrary to apparent popular belief Winter of Discontent is not an RL political statement it's an SL political statement. The sign could say anything afaic, it's not about what the sign says it's about how and where it's used. I for one feel LL are not putting across a positive message by allowing the use of griefing tactics for whatever reason.

Some have said that a Linden sponsored expo is not the place for this kind of build, I disagree, it's the perfect place. Where better to get the attention of Lindens who never see what's going on elsewhere inworld? People rant and rail in the forum but do nothing inworld and when somebody takes a stand, that person gets flack for it. Well it's water off a ducks back so don't shoot first and ask questions later, instead take a proper look at what I'm representing here and then make your comments if you feel you need to. I felt someone had to make a statement so I got of my arse and did it. If you don't agree that's your right of course.

FYI. Last night a Linden who'll remain nameless deleted and returned the sign on my build. When challenged said it was an "accident". ( mmm ) So it seems at least one LL worker feels strongly enough to remove these things from the world but perhaps for the wrong reason.

Please start another thread if you wish to flame, don't spoil this one further. I won't be replying either way. I've said my bit there's nothing left to say.

It's called A Warm Place

Here's my build. I don't know who took the snapshot. It appeared as a postcard from SL. You can't see the Herrenhut star. Most of it's out of frame to the left. You can only see three of the 22 points.

I have seen some amazing things in SL and I was so honored to get a spot for the Winterfest. It is a long story but my inspiration was the furries eyes! So I made a Rudolph with blinking eyes and a shiny nose. It is amazing what you can do with a few prim shapes, a few scripts and an idea.

I'm not a builder, but I think I did ok. You have to visit to read what's on the papers on the desk.

Well, since Stella didn't put her build up, I figured I'd post it here for her. I haven't seen any stuff that she has made that isn't great. This is an example of how crazy awesome her stuff is.

I'm pretty sure it's because she is a lunatic.
