Finally, got around to taking pictures with Local lighting on. They make things prettiful. :p

Second picture has some filtering done for a glowy effect. Aside from that, everything was taken using Local lighting and shadows. This sculpture was made for the Winter Expo. :)

Second one called AVATARS, made Kris say she'd never play Doom again. I dunno why. :p

Lash, two things:

I noticed your post count is 420. No particular reason, just noticed it.

Also...

I like that pic that has your siggy on it, Lash_SnowArt2.jpg. Framed, it would make a tasty lithograph. I wish these could be animated! Then it'd be performance art, LOL :)

Lash,

I've already IMd you about your wonderful sculpture in the winter expo. Unfortunately I've had to turn local lighting off, because it was getting to the point at which if I had 4 fps I felt lucky. But I'm really glad I've had the opportunity to see your photos.

Occasionally in second life one sees something which is genuinely moving, and that is when the pixels and all the technology are actually transcended, and something new is created. I felt that was the case with your sculpture, and I do hope that people will take the time to visit the winter expo (Voss is a good place to start) and in particular your wonderful exhibit.

:)

Superb work! The "Lash Avatars" one is especially poignant. The one with the avatar being comforted is striking as well. Awesome.

Lash is a true arteeeest. Not only are they beautiful but they have alot of sentiment behind them. I think they're great.

Wow, beautiful work.... the statues are amazing, and the third ice sculpture pic with the huge moon behind the figures really blows me away. Fabulous!

Thanks, everyone! :)

I keep saying I'm rebuilding my store in Butsu. Maybe not store per se, I am building though lol. Following pics are the "store" I was making. After a while, I couldn't bear thinking of putting up my yucky display boxes in it though.

Called Sharing the Burden, it's in Butsu 84,59.

Umm, I call my style of building actual buildings "helter skelter." The close-to-falling-apart feel kinda matches the textures I made. This is my way of not dealing with properly aligning crap. :p

The last pic in this post used filters to bring out the colours and contrasts. I need to go back and address the alpha issues I'm having with that piece. But it's not bugging me much.

This other sculpture is in Butsu (84,59). It's called Friendship. First picture is an overview and second is at a closer angle.
