A Seussian, Escheresque, futurisitic folly.
There are no sharp angles anywhere in the build, a restriction that has lead to some very interesting solutions.
It is presently viewable at The Future, (95, 185, 400). It can also be reached via transport tube from Grand Central Station, The Future, (130, 200, 65).

architectural beauty. awesome, awesome work!!! bummer how all those rounded corners mean a much larger prim count though, eh? i really must make my way there sometime.. by the way, you don't happen to also have a MySpace account do you? i ask, because there's an architectual "group" there that i joined to be able to show off some SL builds, but realized i should really only show my personal work.. i just don't have anything completed to show at the moment. this would be an awesome showing in that group!

From: Cybin Monde bummer how all those rounded corners mean a much larger prim count though, eh? Yes! The total is just over 1000 prims. Maybe that's not so bad for a 5 or 6 story building - many of the curves are large integral parts of the structure, although there are also lots of small tori and cylinders used to "smooth angles". The number of tori does have a detrimental effect on my frame rate though. I don't have a MySpace account, but I don't see why you shouldn't show work by others (with appropriate credits) unless you more want to have it to show your stuff?

I am totally impressed! Are you taking visitors? I would love to take a tour, and talk to you about the design.

From: Theo Lament Are you taking visitors? Sure, I'm around a fair amount, IM me. The pictures don't really do it justice, it's well worth seeing in avatar

I would commend the work but the angular bias on display here is disturbing on so many levels.

Simply incredible. Puts my building-in-a-box projects to shame.

I don't have a MySpace account, but I don't see why you shouldn't show work by others (with appropriate credits) unless you more want to have it to show your stuff? yeah, most of my older builds use rounded corners.. i can't help it, i'm not a big fan of sharp corners, but i'm currently working with trying to use them, but i digress.. it's complicated on the MySpace front.. the group i'm talking about is full of non-SLers and could possibly pose questions. questions i would imagine the original builder would be more in a place to discuss.. although, i suppose that could draw some architectual types to SL.. so, does that mean if i give credit that you would agree to me posting pics of your build to said group? (i would include "built by" and "location" information right on the pic) hmm.. now i've got a new idea bubbling about in my grey matter. unrelated to MySpace.. but, let me know if i have permission to do so and i would be proud to post your work in said group.

i'll probably wait until tomorrow when i've had some sleep and can properly present such a build to a RL architectural group, albeit oin MySpace, but still.. there seem to be many intelligent people in that group and i would like to present this information in a proper manner. my main point is.. thank you! we may have an architectural boom yet!

Whoa.
That is some seriously cool work! Shiny and curved and NEW. Not just another copy of a 1st life building idea. Really nice, Seifert!

From: Barbarra Blair Well, that decides it, I just HAVE to turn on shiny. Yes, you must! And when the shiny bug gets fixed all the shine textures will line up and the whole thing should be seamless. Thank you everyone for the kind words.
