I'll be officially opening a large nature park and community build project with a nature theme on Alviso Island soon. Construction is underway and a lot of nice builds and trails are already in place, so come take a look. IM me if you'd like to contribute.
Huge thanks to Lauk and Sand!!!! Both of whom are Alviso residents and have awesome builds of their own. They'd be worth the trip alone. While you're in the area, check out "The Thistle Shops" with Yadni's scultpures and a wonderful underground area hidden away. And "Lauks Nest", with an impressive treehouse build.
Anyway, I just finished major construction for the welcome center of the park, so here's a couple of pics. More to come later.
You can Find the park by searching for "Liferain".

Southern Shoreline of Alviso Island
04-11-2005 11:24
Here are three more pics of the southern end of the island. The park is on the left side of the island. Lauk's great build (Lauks Nest) is visible on the right side. Don't forget to feed the birds! The large scale of the island makes it difficult to photograph, but hopefully you'll get the idea. The first shot shows the welcome center and Lauk's wonderful build for the Alviso Community Project. The second shows the welcome center with one of Sand's builds in the background. You can just barely see The Thistle Shops through the trees on the top of the hill. The third is a distance shot showing the entire southwestern tip of the island. The bottom of Lauk's treehouse is visible.

Treehouse in the Park
06-27-2005 13:12
Shack's latest build in Liferain Park. Not sure how long I'll leave this up. The twisted, cut, and transparent prims put a strain on even a good video card. You can see Alviso Island in the distance. Home of Lauks Nest and Liferain Park.
