What format are people using for the pics they attach? When I do a snapshot to disk, I get huge files, far larger than the ones I see attached here. But saving an in-world snapshot produces a much smaller image than the ones I see here.

I am using .jpg.
SL snapshots to disc are in .bmp format - and i use a third party program to convert them from that format into .jpg for upload. You are right - .bmp is -far- =far= too cumbersome to upload to the forum - and in my opinion, the internet itself.
