YES - you ARE seeing it correctly. This is an UNRETOUCHED snapshot, directly from SL! And YES, it IS 1 - you heard it right - *1* prim!

This knotted prim was created by our lovely Gerstle Resident Cessee Hedges, flexing her creative muscle! For the next week we'll be displaying it in the castle so that skeptics and believer alike can come take a look and see for themselves this is a true 1-prim object. Come see it at Gerstle (160, 105) !

Wow! I'm impressed. I really hope Cessee knows how he/she did this and is willing to share with the rest of us. I was just saying to someone yesterday that right when you think you've mastered something is just when it kicks you right in the ass. Well I consider myself kicked. I'm gonna be torturing prims all night now trying to replicate this.

"Wow!" is all I have to say. I'm guessing this is a first in SL? I haven't heard of anything like it.

I posted a couple pics to Snapzilla, of course. :D Great job Cessee!

I have some one prim knots I made like that back when we first got the new shapes and attributes. One is actually entirely unique in that it came at the time prims were able to extend outside their bounding boxes. They fixed the issue, but not the prims, so my particular knot shall never be repeated. So nyah!

I've been selling these for a few months. Truly eye-popping effect when you just rotate them. They were the inspiration for my Primigami event, which I've been unable to hold for the last few weeks. Such beauty from a single prim.

Sorry about the size of that photo. I've never posted a photo attachment to the forums & didn't know it would come in at full size.

I'm always curious about how you start your prims to get the finished torture. My single knot was started with a ring. When Jauani Wu left a double knotted prim at the castle, I was amazed!! It took me a while, but I finally managed to torture one into a double knotted prim with a cube as the base.

Originally I was looking for a new shape for jewelry making (I want to do a prim Celtic Knot), but that's not quite gonna work because I can't get them small enough yet. Aside from looking pretty, have any of you found other uses for these knots??

It's been great fun to see all the examples people have been leaving. Thank You So Much!!!
