The text on the tabs on your blog is very nearly completely illegible.

Okay. I love that you start to take pictures in SL. It's a perfect hobby. I think your landscape pictures from Avalon is the best of the pictures you have submitted. You take them from a good angle.
Your avatar could benefit from higher resolution. The edges are a bit jagged, and you can play a bit with the lightning. I recommend you to read this: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Torley_Linden/Snapshot_tips It's a lot of helpful tips. I turn up my graphics every time I take pictures, and turn them down again. And I'm absolutely addicted to the different settings I can get with Windlight. I like to take pictures on location in SL, and then I need to have landscape details high up. I don't use Photoshop, but I use Photoimpresion. It's free and I always use the "drop" tool to soften the edges if it's still a bit jagged. Then I do the rest in Picnik, also a free photo editing site. Have fun in SL! _____________________

Make a facelight also, that will really make your avi stand out. They are super easy to make, just make a prim and add an alpha texture to it to make it invisible. Then on the Feature tab, you can turn on the light and play with the settings. It will make a big difference.
Also, there are tons of poses around. Find some really cute ones and use them when you take photos. Another thing to do is to make a big wall and color white or lime green or something. Place this behind you and then take high res pics with this as a backdrop. Then you can take that pic into photoshop or something and add your own background! |
