http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/2840/idiot4fz.jpgCouldn't they have just moved the sign onto the roof rather than jamming it down the middle of runway 18? Obviously they don't know what a giant black strip with numbers on it, surrounded by airplanes and helicopters is used for.

Hehe.. and that is why I plan to stick with helicopters for a long.. long.. time.
I do feel sorry for the airport owner though.. such hard work put into it with amazing detail... only to have part of it blocked off by some clueless person... ah well.. not much you can do about it.

Or they could just click that little handy "return objects to owners" button...

They could try - but if the owner of the sign put it right down the runway in the first place, why would they move it?
The land with the sign is seperate, by the way - and acquired more than 2 years after the airport land.

Hey that's my vendor back there in that store to the middle right of the picture! Woo I'm famous! lmao
P.S. I'm an officer of the group that owns the airport land. All I have to say is that it's a shame that they put that up there but there isn't much we can do about it. Some people have no taste.

From: Dustin Pomeray They could try - but if the owner of the sign put it right down the runway in the first place, why would they move it? It's quite possible they just pulled a "duh" and put the sign there without thinking about it. I don't know the other property owner's motives. I just figured - where's the harm in asking, "could you please move your sign, it blocks the airplanes trying to land on our field"? The worst response they could get is "No," and then other avenues could be pursued.
