So for some reason i like to recreate people from the real world in SL. But i've come to the conclusion that although i can make it closely represent a real person, theres just something missing that makes them recognizable. Anyway i was wondering if anyone else has tried this with any success. I know there are a few places offering celebrity shapes, but they seem to be lacking more then my creations.

Heres my attempts...

You know you can apply a tattoo to the face... have you tried making a alpha mask of the most promenent features of the RL pics, and upload that as a tattoo?

I can see the work you have put into these... :)

The basic difference between what is in RL and why you cannot recreate it exactly in a VR programme like SL, is simply colour, tonal and luminance degrees... SL is a 32bit rendering programme with limited depth, tones and liminance are crude. The Avatar head cannot match the billions of variances to the human bone structure.. even if it could, you could not render them to that high degree.. atm.. maybe sometime in the future...
