I've recently moved to a waterfront area, and wanted to try out SL scuba diving, so I added the swimming animation I had to my AO in the area provided for a swim anim, and can't seem to get it to work, or maybe I'm not doing it right.. The only way I can get the swim anim to work is to click on it, then the "run in world", then my av starts swimming -in place- .. If I then press the arrow keys, the anim stops and I start walking instead of swimming.. The way I would expect the AO to work, is that with a swim anim registered in the AO, and the av being on/underwater, that the arrow keys normally used for walking would be overriden to cause swimming vs walking. This does not seem to be the case.. What AM I doing wrong???

Thanks;
Tas

I guess that it is the issue of the trigger to play the animation by AO. I'm not quite sure but your AO may play the swimming animation while flying under the warter level. That may be set as the trigger. And recently we have got the bug of it. Wait for 1.8.4, tommorow.
It says, "Additional fix for issue with water level not being correct upon entering a region". I hope it will be good for you.

I highly recommend Siggy's swimmer attachment. It really makes swimming feel like swimming... though I'm not sure how suitable it is for scuba since you float to the surface.

Anyway here it is:
