Second Life Figures in Poser 8

How do I load the Second Life avatar meshes into Poser 8? I got them loaded as defaults in Poser 6 a long time ago, but version 8 changed and I can't figure out where to put them.

I can tell you where to put them in Poser 7 - but I do not know if this has been changed in Poser 8.

It is in: C:\Program Files\e frontier\Poser 7\Runtime\Libraries\Character\SLFigures

I created the SLFigures folder - I think you could put them anywhere under Libraries.

When you get the chance, do post here what you think about Poser 8 and any differences you come across from Poser 6.

Well, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was putting them in the

C:\Program Files (x86)\Smith Micro\Poser 8\Runtime\Libraries\Character\SLFigures

folder, which was (more or less) where I had them in Poser 6.

Once I put them in my Documents folder:

Documents\Poser 8 Content\Runtime\Libraries\Character\SLFigures

It picked them up right away.


I was looking at Poser 7 to have access to animation layers when v8 came out, so I got it instead.

Now that I have the SL figures loaded, I can go to work. I will be happy to post my views about it here.
