Did I possibly post this in the wrong forum? Is there a shortage of animators? Or is it just me?

If your looking for exposure with a high profile, this posistion is for you!

Anyways, the posistion for lead animator is still open.

I would love to take on this project with you, but I am not in any position to take on such a responisibility right now...
With getting the new sim together and still doing orders for customers, as well as my own work, I just have no time to dedicate... I'm sorry :(

You have NO idea how big this project really is! I know you must be busy with your private island, so I understand your time restraints.

If you know anyone that can make smooth animations, could you please send them my way? The person who takes on this project will not be disappointed :)

I'm interested but I am sooo back logged. I have a lot of orders I have to fulfill with another large project on the horizon.

If you send me an email (address below) or a detailed IM (which goes to my email) I can look over what you need and give a time and cost estimate. Further I could help you find the animators you need to get the job done if it's too much for me alone.

For sake of clarity, and to save time on answering individual questions, I have decided to post my requirements here :)

A private sim has been ordered for this project. The project involves player vrs player combat within a medieval setting. The player vrs player combat has a Dungeons & Dragons RPG style feel to it.

There will be hundreds of weapons produced that require two animations per item. One is a holding animation, and the other an attack animation.

I am not saying that each weapon created requires a unique animation for holding and attack. I should be able to reuse an animation in a number of weapons that fall into certain categorys.

I need sword swings, bow and arrow stances, over the head hammer attacks, polearm lunges, and some very custom animations for specific rare or unique items.

I think i can package the animations within the weapons themselves... I still looking into this.

I am willing to purchase the animations outright, or provide a attractive dev team incentive package for the proper candidate.

Some of the incentives of being on the dev team are as follows.

1) A free copy of every public item we intend to sell for use in the private sim.

2) Access to a 32 slot voice server, allowing you to communicate in voice real time while playing SL. I intend to increase the slots to 64 total in the near future.

3) Never having to purchase a land pass for special events held in certain areas on the private sim.

4) Ability to add content to the private sim!

5) Never pay a cover charge for any event we hold!

We should be fully operational and open to the public within the next 30 days.

Weapons and armor pieces are currently being created and scripted. I have enough weapons and armor pieces to keep me busy for a day or so at this point.

I am completely at the mercy of LL concerning the delivery of my private island.

Ordered 7 days ago, I come to find out that the person responsible for adding private island servers was on vacation.

After two phone calls to LL today, I received the standard answer of, "Private islands can take up to two weeks."

Maybe I can now expect to wait two more full weeks before delivery? SWEET! I get an extra weeks worth of waiting time for FREE!

Yes... get use to it lol.... most of my SL time these past couple weeks, have been directing builders =/
