So I made this abstract avatar, it undulates from place to place, and it needs a complete ao, like a tiny. Using the ZHAO I've mostly got it, but there's one animation glitch I can't seem to fix: the hard landing.
This anim plays at the right time, but after it plays I always flip into the standard pose for a moment before the stand starts. Nothing affects this: I've locked every joint in every anim, all of them are priority 4, no ease in or out, all anims are looped.
I bought a Wynx tiny to check whether it's possible to fix this, and it is: my cute kitty doesn't do this. But I can't seem to fix it for any of my abstract avs.
Anyone know the secret? Is it something about the ZHAO that makes it not work?

I hate that hard landing.
Maybe your animation is too short? Try animating it entirely from the hard landing and into the stand.
I don't know what the exact timings are, but lets say SL expects the hard landing to be half a second, and yours is .45. Then it might flicker into the SL stand, or SL getting up, or who knows.
I'd turn the hard landing into a hard landing + getting up + animate into the stand.

I believe that's related to an old bug in SL that was never fixed.
Have you set the landing animation to anything?

Yeah, I already put an extra two seconds of standing onto the end of the landing anim to make sure it was long enough for SL's expectation. I've always hated falling down, so my worm just lands on its end, oscillates back and forth a few times, and then straightens up into its normal stand. It would be cute if it weren't for my hands popping out at the end. And (I guess) if I weren't a giant worm.

Have you set the landing animation to anything? I've set soft landing and hard landing to the same anim; soft landing usually works (occasionally not), but hard landing never does. What's buggin' me is that I know the hard landing problem is solvable because Wynx solved it: tinies consistently land without flicking back to normal. Darn it! She's just smarter than me.
