I'm in the middle of a mach shoot and I realize that if an animator came up with a bunch of animations for machinima, they could do very well.

Or maybe someone already does that?

The kinds that are needed are interactions like reaching out, hand to face in a variety of ways..shock, etc...animations that express emotions..

same with walks..depressed walks, happy walks..

turns of head in response..etc..

If someone already does that..great!

I have made a number of different walks - brisk, jog, limping, elderly/bent over, sprinting, for example as well as more gesture-type animations. I have a "mop-brow" one in test atm. When it comes to machinima though, I think directors often need to be very specific about what they want and the animation taylored to the actors avatar size.

I'll check your picks; would love to see your stuff.

Another way it could work is that actors will collect a anims and adjust their avatar accordingly and perhaps work with an animator to customize.

I think the next frontier now that Windlight makes SL look stunning is to develop anims so that we move well while inworld. I'm sure I'm not saying anything that any anim artist doesn't know already...but I'm looking at it from a non anim artist wanting actors that can move well. I think it could be a big market down the road.
